STSM Call 2012-12
Fifth call for Short Term Scientific Missions
The deadline is 21 December 2011
The current call is evaluated on the following criteria (note that the order does not constitute a rank of priority): (i) case studies of DSS strengths and weaknesses; (ii) STSM suggestions from WGs (see list below); (iii) contribution to guidelines to support the design of DSS; (iv) general contribution to FORSYS milestones.
Applications can only be submitted by using the on-line registration tool on http://www.cost.esf.org/stsm (select Action FP0804). The applicant should also submit to STSM coordinator Luigi Portoghesi (lporto at unitus.it): (i) a detailed work plan, (ii) CV, and (iii) host acceptance letter.
Hosting Institutions: Submit an opportunity for a STSM
In our Leuven meeting we identified the need for more STSMs for doing case studies as well as other work. Please consider if you could be an STSM host, and if you can, please prepare a short description of potential STSM activities. We will post these on the wiki to help potential STSM applicants.
In order to serve the Dec 21 STSM deadline, we need these descriptions as soon as possible. Please try to send them in by the end of this week (Nov 18).
Here are some basic categories of information to provide:
- Purpose
- Information to help the applicant prepare a workplan with the following elements:
- Background of and motivation for the mission
- Goal of the proposed STSM and its contribution to FORSYS objectives
- Main contents of the STSM (list of activities to be carried out at the host institution)
- (you can take ideas from the STSM call description, see attached)
- Practical Considerations
- timing, language, etc
- Contact
- name, postal address, telephone, fax and email of the host
