Decision Sciences in the Framework Programs

September 2nd, 2010

Professor Alexis Tsoukiàs, LAMSADE-CNRS, Université Paris Dauphine, chair of COST Action Algodec – http://cost-ic0602.org/ and key-note speaker at the upcoming FORSYS meeting in Brussels on October 6 has drawn attention to the lack of initiative in the areas of decision sciences in FP7. To promote the area in FP7 and, perhaps more importantly, FP8 Alexis has put together a short draft presenting this area and some opportunities (Decision Sciences and Technologies in the EU Frame Programmes). The idea is to use this document as a basis in order to start some discussion within the concerned COST Actions, among them FORSYS, and arrive by the end of September with an improved version. This will be followed up by a small workshop in November with one or two participants from each of the concerned COST Actions. Therefore, please discuss this document among yourselves. Also, bring your ideas to me, or directly to Alexis Tsoukiàs [tsoukias@lamsade.dauphine.fr] for us to bring with us in the ensuing process.
